Katara Lodge

Katara is a luxury lodge that is situated on the rift valley escarpment 16 kilometers from Katunguru gate of the national park. 

The lodge offers 8 luxury thatched cottages, 7 regular and one family cottage. the cottages are built on a hill overlooking the open savannah and each cottage was designed using local materials, have wooden floors, grass thatched roofs, canvas which can be folded to get a better view of the park, have double bed and a four poster star bed that can be wheeled out onto the veranda, bathrooms and romantic roll top bath. The lodge also has a family cottage has two separate double bedrooms where one bedroom has a double bed and two beds and another bedroom can accommodate three children. The family cottage bedroom has a private sitting area, bathroom, swing couch and two hammocks.
