Haven Eco River Lodge
The Haven Eco River Lodge is an eco- friendly riverside retreat located approximately 20 km Northwest of Jinja town. The lodge is approximately a 2 hours’ drive from Kampala city and about 4 hours from Entebbe International Airport. This accommodation facility is a well-maintained eco river lodge, which offers its guests breath-taking views of the Nile River. The lodge offers visitors a peaceful and relaxed environment, making it an ideal place for a family getaway vacation.
The Haven Lodge has a total of 6 different accommodation facilities that comprise cottages, bandas, tents, and a honeymoon suite. The lodge has 4 luxury bungalows, 2 family suites, 1 honeymoon suite, 1 family bungalow, 2 luxury bandas and 10 tents for lazy camping. This accommodation facility can accommodate a maximum of 60 people.
The rooms are designed with traditional crafts and colorful wall paintings which give them and African setting and feel. The materials used within and around the lodge are environmentally friendly and sustainable to give guests uttermost comfort. The rooms in the Haven Lodge feature amenities like; USB charger ports, Wi-Fi, room service, en-suite bathroom and so much more.
For tourists who wish to do lazy camping, the Haven Eco River Lodge offers great camping spots with spectacular views of the calm Nile River. The lodge has 10 tents available for camping; 7 of which are suitable for 2 people and come with a single or double mattress. There are also 3 camping tents available for families.
The luxury bandas are basically traditionally grass-thatched huts with a modern twist. The rooms in the bandas are spacious with a king-size bed and can serve as single, double or triple accommodation facilities. The bandas have in-built USB chargers, WIFI, mosquito nets, electric fan and other amenities such as; linen and clean towels.
The Family Bungalow at the Haven can accommodate 6 people and are self- contained with spacious and well-kept bathrooms. The family bungalow has amenities like those in the luxury bandas with a TV and DVD player inclusive.
The Haven Eco River Lodge has a honeymoon suite which can accommodate a maximum of 2 people. The suite is located in a secluded area within the lodge’s premises to give guests the privacy they need. The honeymoon suite features a king-size bed, a large terrace, a swinging couch and a bathroom overlooking the rapids on the Nile.
This luxury accommodation Lodge offers its guests services such as; free parking, free breakfast, laundry service, swimming pool, solar power, hot UV- filtered spring, kids’ playground and restaurant, campfire.

How to Get to the Haven Eco River Lodge.
Tourists visiting Jinja can access the Haven Lodge by road via Jinja road from Kampala, which is a 1½ hour drive depending on the traffic. Alternatively, travelers can use the Gayaza road from Kampala which is a well-tarmacked road passing via Kahunga, Jinja road. This route gives travelers a good view of the landscape and Nile.
The lodge also provides transportation to tourists but this is upon booking with the lodge prior to your trip.
