Domestic Flights to Uganda’s National Parks: Aerolink Aviation Company in Uganda provides scheduled and chartered flights to most of the national parks in Uganda. Visitors can now fly to the following national parks in Uganda- Murchison falls national park, Bwindi Impenetrable national parks, Mgahinga Gorilla national park, Semuliki national park, and Queen Elizabeth national park.
Uganda’s few large metropolitan commercial centers are more than four to eight hours’ drive from the capital, Kampala, and flying using domestic transit is not a regular choice for most Ugandans. In Entebbe, Uganda, there is just one international airport and a few of “CAA” Civil Aviation Authority maintained and privately owned airstrips spread around the countryside. Entebbe International Airport-Kihihi-Bwindi Impenetrable National Park: So, from Kihihi, one may reach Queen Elizabeth National Park through Mweya/Kasese, Semuliki – Semuliki National Park, and Kibale National Park where you can do chimpanzee trekking during your visit to Uganda.
Entebbe – From Entebbe, one may link to Mweya/Kasese “Queen Elizabeth National Park”: From Mweya/Kasese, one can connect to Kihihi or Kisoro – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.
Entebbe-Pakuba/Bugungu/Chobe Airstrip to Murchison Falls National Park: From there, link to Kidepo National Park and Kasese, Mweya, and Kihihi.

Other choices are available through your tour operator, who may arrange for your charter flights at a very high cost. The two destinations in Uganda that are frequently visited by air rather than road are the isolated Kidepo Valley National Park and distant Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, as the drive is likely to take a full day even on recently resurfaced roads.
Aerolink Uganda Baggage Policy
Due to the nature of our flights, whether scheduled or charter, the aircrafts in Uganda are modest in size and, as a result, have substantially smaller luggage holds than other regular carriers. However, a traveller must follow the laws and regulations surrounding on-flight luggage limitations or risk becoming irritated.
The limit luggage weight for all services is 15 kilos in soft-sided bags.
As a general rule, regular checked luggage should measure 24 inches ’60 centimetres” in height, 18 inches ’45 centimetres” in length, and 13 inches “33 centimetres” in breadth.
The hand baggage is 12 inches (30 centimetres) in height, 21 inches (53 centimetres) in length, and 9 inches (23 centimetres) in width.
Personal goods include purses, small umbrellas, jackets, walking sticks, and a small backpack to be kept under the passenger’s seat or in an overhead compartment, as appropriate. The things must not weigh more than 5 kilos, and the luggage allowance is 15 kilograms.
It can accommodate more baggage on scheduled flights. You must reserve and pay for an additional freight seat in advance. The extra seat allows for an additional 75kg/165Ibs of excess baggage.
Travelers seeking to carry additional luggage will be charged USD3 per kg for local flights and USD4 for Kisumu and Maasai Mara flights, subject to space availability. This option may not be available on the date of departure.
Domestic flights for visitors doing gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park in Uganda or wildlife viewing in Kidepo Valley national park are the best option if you are not a fan long road trips.
