Detailed itinerary for 7 Days Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi Tour.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park,
Depending on your location in Kampala, on the first day of the 7-days Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi tour, you will be greeted by our driving guide, who will brief you on the safari before beginning the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On the way, you will travel via Mubende and eat lunch in Fort Portal town. After lunch, you will continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will embark on an optional game drive to see creatures like as buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and warthogs. After the wildlife drive, you’ll head to your choice lodge for supper and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise
Morning game drive,
Following an early breakfast on the second day of the 7-days Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi tour, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge for a morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains, where you will be able to see buffaloes, lions, leopards, elephants, Uganda kobs, warthogs, bushbucks, waterbucks, and various bird species, among others. After the wildlife drive, you will return to the resort for lunch.
Afternoon boat cruise,
After lunch, you will go on a thrilling boat tour around the Kazinga corridor, a water corridor that connects Lake Edward and Lake Gorge. During the two-hour boat ride, you will see hippos and Nile crocodiles in the river, as well as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs along the banks, and water birds such as hornbills, kingfishers, bee-eaters, and fish eagles. Following the boat tour, you will proceed on an evening game drive to watch animals returning to their resting spots, and then return to the lodge for supper and overnight stay as described above.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Batwa Cultural Tour
Following breakfast at your lodge, check out and meet up with your driver guide. You will then embark on approximately 4 hours’ drive to Bwindi Forest National Park, arriving in time to have lunch at your lodge.
After lunch, you will head out for a cultural tour to the neighboring Batwa communities. These indigenous people have solely depended on the forest till the government resettled them in the communities living outside the park. Get a chance to interact with the friendly locals and take part in their traditional dances and singing performances.
Later retire back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
After an early breakfast on the fourth day of your 7 Days Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi Tour, you will bring a packed lunch and meet your driving guide at park headquarters for a training on gorilla trekking laws and regulations. Following the briefing, you will be assigned a park guide who is familiar with mountain gorillas and forest pathways. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest national park takes between 30 minutes and 7 hours, depending on where the gorillas are situated, since they tend to wander from one location to another in search of food.
During the trek, you will be able to see other primate species, mammals, and bird species, among others, and once the gorillas are located, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat, where you will be able to learn about their behaviors and habits, watch them feed, breastfeed, play, groom young ones, take photos, and record stunning videos.
After the one-hour contact with the gentle giants, you will return to the park headquarters, where you will be issued a certificate for participation in gorilla trekking. You will then meet your driver guide and proceed to the lodge for an evening of leisure, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
During the fifth day of the 7-day Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi tour, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast before checking out of the resort and meeting your driver guide for the travel to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Lake Bunyonyi is Africa’s second deepest lake, with 29 islands and a variety of bird species. The journey takes around 5 to 6 hours and includes an en-route lunch. After lunch, you will continue your drive to Lake Bunyonyi, where you will check into your lodge, rest, and then have supper and stay overnight.
Day 6: Boat cruise/ Canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi and cultural tour

On the sixth day of the 7 Days Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi tour, after breakfast, your driving guide will take you up from the lodge for an unforgettable canoe ride in a scooped tree dugout. During the two-hour canoe ride, you will be able to explore some of the 29 islands, including the punishment island, where girls who became pregnant before marriage were taken to die of hunger as a punishment, as well as enjoy breathtaking views of the beautiful scenery, Kigezi hills, terraced farmlands, traditional homesteads, and bird species, among other things. After the fun canoe journey, you’ll return to the lodge for lunch.
Community tour,
After lunch, you will proceed on an exciting community visit where you will get the opportunity to connect with the Batwa and Bakiga people who reside in the communities surrounding the lake. During the community tour, you will be able to learn about the local people’s culture, traditions, and way of life, visit their farmlands and learn how to dig, homesteads, learn how to cook their traditional dishes, listen to their ancient stories, participate in their traditional performances, and visit their primary schools and health centers, among other things. After the cultural trip, you will return to the lodge for supper and sleep, as described above.
Day 7: Departure to Kampala
On the seventh and last day of the 7 Days Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi and Lake Bunyonyi tour, after a leisurely breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide for the journey to Kampala. On the way, you will see amazing vistas and have an en-route lunch in Mbarara. After lunch, you will continue your adventure with another stop near the Equator to take photographs and buy souvenirs. From the Equator, you will travel to Kampala, where you will arrive early evening. Upon arrival, your driving guide will drop you off at any location advised.
