Detailed Itinerary 6 Days Murchison falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 1: Pickup from Kampala and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Pickup & Transfer to Murchison: Meet and welcome our guide, who will provide a quick overview of your Uganda safari. Transfer to the north-west by road which is about a 7 hours’ drive via the famed Luwero Triangle and Masindi Town. Visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en way for a guided Rhino walk and a picnic lunch. Proceed to the National Park of Murchison Falls. After checking into your accommodation, embark on an evening game drive in the park with dinner and accommodation at Heritage Safari Lodge/ Pakuba Safari Lodge/Paara Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Boat Cruise on the Nile
Morning game drive: After having your breakfast, head out for a morning game drive in the park with possible sights of animals like; Elephants, Lions, Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribis, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky you might be able to see the leopard. Return to the hotel for breakfast and lunch.

Afternoon Boat Cruise: Afternoon boat cruise upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17km stretch you may see elephants, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs and crocodiles. There you leave the boat and start your – quite heavy – hike to the Top of the Falls. See where the world’s longest river explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below.
Later head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay same as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Fort Portal
Transfer to Fort Portal: Wake up in the morning and have relaxed lunch at your lodge. You will then meet up with your guide and embark on an 8 hours’ drive to Fort Portal town with lunch enroute. Check into your accommodation and relax for the rest of the evening at your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Raja hotel/Kyaninga Cottages.
Day 4: Crater Hike and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Park-Lion Tracking Experience
Crater Hike: Have breakfast at leisure and later visit the various Crater Lake in the region. Start with Lake Nyabikere & Lake Nkuruba. Lake Nkuruba Nature Reserve is well known as the best place to photograph colobus monkeys in Uganda. The dense tropical forest is home to four species of monkeys including vervet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black & white colobus and the endangered Uganda red colobus. Transfer to Queen & Lion Tracking: Have lunch and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is approximately a 2 hours’ drive. Upon your arrival in the park, embark on a lion tracking experience as you search for lions in the park. The activity can take between 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the location of the lions in the park. Dinner and overnight at Elephant Hub/Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Sundown Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Morning Game Drive: Early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile. You will encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch.
Boat Cruise: After having your lunch, head out for a sunset boat cruise along the famous Kazinga channel. This is worthwhile opportunity to see Hippos, Buffaloes, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also gives visitors chance to see spectacular birds. Dinner and overnight same as above.
Day 6: Transfer Back to Kampala/Entebbe
Transfer Back to Kampala/Entebbe: In the morning, you will be transferred to Kampala or Entebbe depending on your departure flight schedule. You will also stop at the equator for photos, gift, and craft shopping. You will reach Kampala in the evening hours. End of Tour.
