Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Lake Mburo national park-afternoon boat cruise
Depending on your location on the first day of the four-day Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will be greeted by our driving guide, who will educate you on the safari before beginning the trek to Lake Mburo National Park. You will see beautiful landscapes along the road, as well as terraced farmlands. Upon arriving in Lake Mburo National Park, you will check into the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go on an interesting boat cruise where you will be able to see animals such as hippos and Nile crocodiles in the water, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, and others drinking water along the shore, as well as various aquatic bird species such as the elusive shoebill, cormorants, hornbills, and kingfishers. Following the boat ride, you will go to the lodge for dinner and stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
On the second day of your Uganda wildlife safari, you will have an early breakfast and meet with your driver guide for a morning game drive in the park, where you will be able to see animals such as waterbucks, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, warthogs, oribi, and topi grazing in open savannah plains. After the wildlife drive, you will leave the park and go to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. Upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi and community tour
On the third day of your four-day Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi safari, after breakfast, you will go on an exciting boat tour around the lake. During the boat journey, you will be able to visit several of the islands, including the punishment island, and see various birds, gorgeous landscapes, and terraced farmlands, among other things. Following the boat tour, you will return to the resort/lodge for lunch.

After lunch, you will go on a community or cultural tour where you will be able to interact with the locals, learn about their culture, traditions, and way of life, visit their farmlands and homesteads, learn how to make beer from bananas, and enjoy their traditional dishes and entertainment, among other activities. Following the village visit, you will return to the lodge for dinner and retire for the night.
Day 4: Departure to Kampala
On the final day of the four-day Lake Mburo and Lake Bunyonyi safari, you will have a leisurely breakfast, check out of the lodge, and meet your driver guide for the journey back to Kampala. On the way, you will stop for lunch in Mbarara before continuing on to the Equator to snap photographs and buy souvenirs. From the Equator, you will travel to Kampala, arriving early evening, where your driver guide will drop you off at Entebbe International Airport for your departing flight.
