Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Have breakfast early today morning. Your guide/driver will pick you from your designated hotel in Kigali, Rwanda. Proceed with your transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is located in the southwestern part of Uganda. Gorilla Habituation in Bwindi takes place in Rushaga sector, which is found in the southern part of the national park. Your transfer from Kigali to Bwindi national park takes about 4 to 5 hours.
Upon your arrival at Bwindi Impenetrable national park, check into your lodge for dinner and accommodation. Accommodation options include; Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge/ Rushaga…..
Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience.
This is the day you have long waited for! Today marks the highlight of your 3 days Bwindi Gorilla Habituation experience. Have an early morning breakfast and meet up with your driver who will transfer you to your meeting point in the park. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by the head ranger at the park. Sign into the visitor’s registrar and converge for short briefing.
After the briefing, you will be placed in a group consisting of 4 members. Gorilla Habituation in Bwindi national park is conducted in groups of only 4 persons, and there are only two groups available for the gorilla habituation experience.
The gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi takes a maximum of 4 hours, which means that you will get to spend the entire day with the gorillas. Please also note that the experience also involves tracking down a gorilla group which can take between 1 to 6 hours depending on the how of the gorillas. Once the gorillas have been located, you will begin your habituation experience so make sure that your camera is ready to roll!
After your gorilla habituation experience, head back to your starting point for your certificate and meet up with your guide/driver who will transfer you back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali.
Morning breakfast and transfer back to Kigali City where your will have an optional city tour. While on the tour of Kigali City, you will visit sites like Camp Kigali; where 10 Belgian soldiers were killed the day after the Rwandan genocide began. Other historical and cultural sites you will visit while on your tour include; Kigali Genocide Memorial and Caplaki Craft Village, where you can get some souvenirs for your loved ones back home. Later transfer to your Hotel or Airport in Kigali. End of Tour.
