2 Days Congo Gorilla Trekking | Jomba Community Camp
2 Days Congo Gorilla Trekking is the shortest trip in Virunga where people get to trek the mountain gorillas of Virunga national park. It is an authentic safari package as you cross from Uganda to DR Congo on foot with the Virunga security team, spend one night in the park at the Jomba community camp run by the local women.

Trip Description
Day 1: walk to Jomba community camp
You will be expected to be at the Bunagana border to join the team headed to the Jomba ranger post to check in for the next day’s gorilla trekking. You will walk through the homesteads of the local community and then you will arrive at the camp for lunch prepared by the Jomba women and relax as the day goes by.
Dinner and night stay will be at Jomba community camp.
Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking in Congo
Wake up early enough to grab some breakfast and head out to the Jomba ranger post where you will receive the morning brief before you head into the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. The mountain gorilla trekking in Virunga national park takes about 2 to 4 hours until you meet the gorilla family of the day.
You will spend the allotted one hour in the presence of the gorilla family and after exit the forest headed back to the border to cross back into Uganda for drop off.
